No one really wants to talk about hell. The person who finds
some kind of satisfaction in exploring its horrors must have a problem. Many do
not wish to believe that some will suffer eternal torment. One survey over ten
years ago indicated that 58% Methodists, 60% Episcopalians, 54% Presbyterians,
35% American Baptists, 22% American Lutherans deny it is a specific place after
death. It is not difficult to understand why some choose to believe there is
no such thing as eternal torment.
After all, such a fact would have dramatic
implications in the lives of many people who not only deny the existent of God through Christ, but those who deny that such a terrible place exist at all!!!
The cults have generally tended to distort biblical
teachings on eternal punishment: Christian Science believes there is no final
judgment. The Jehovah’s Witnesses hold that lost men will have a second chance
and that those who reject this offer of salvation will be annihilated. Mormonism
maintains that all non-Mormons will be sentenced to eternal torment, along with
those Mormons who are thus judged worthy of it. Unity refuses to believe in the
finality of death, but believes that through mind action we resurrect ourselves
from the dead. Modern theology insists that a loving God could never subject
anyone to such punishment.
The doctrine of eternal punishment is one that is essential
to the Christian faith. Our Lord taught that the Holy Spirit would convince men
of such judgment: “And He, when He
comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness, and judgment”
(John 16:8).
To the person who finds the whole subject of Hell and
judgment distasteful, and who refuses to believe it, even if Jesus Christ
taught it, I ask the question: What about that little phrase “WHAT IF”? What if
there is a Hell and everything that you know about God has come from your own
understanding and is not the truth found in Holy Scriptures?
What if you have never truly read, studied, or invoked the
One True God and just gleamed information from those around you who did
the same thing?
What if you have rejected God and are living an illusion which
has catastrophic consequences not only for you but your kids, families and
those you think you are helping spiritually?
What if your erroneous belief held eternal damnation for not only you, but your children and their future generations.
Do you really believe that you can create a god of your own understanding and mental belief, build a foundation and lifestyle from that, and decide who and what God is?
What if your erroneous belief held eternal damnation for not only you, but your children and their future generations.
Do you really believe that you can create a god of your own understanding and mental belief, build a foundation and lifestyle from that, and decide who and what God is?
Do you not realize that in order to approach God you must first believe that He exist, and then come to know Him in the form and after the likeness of Jesus Christ?
Did you know you were
asked to see where religious people were correct?
Did you know that you can’t do that without studying religion and communicating with them and actually learning from them?
Did you know that any concept about God through Jesus Christ outside of living this lifestyle wholeheartedly and filled with the Holy Spirit would make one a hypocrite?

Do you believe that you can pick and choose the parts of the
bible that make sense to you and disregard the rest as if they were non-existent?
Did you know the devil believes in God and trembles?
Let’s see one of the more well know bible messages on hell:
Luke 16:19-31, He spoke of Hades/Hell, and thus of Sheol (its Hebrew synonym):
Luke 16:19-31, He spoke of Hades/Hell, and thus of Sheol (its Hebrew synonym):
“Now there was a certain rich man, and he habitually dressed
in purple and fine linen, gaily living in splendor every day. And a certain poor
man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, and longing to be
fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man’s table; besides, even
the dogs were coming and licking his sores.
Now it came about that the poor man died and he was carried
away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was
buried. And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham
far away, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham,
have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in
water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.’
But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your life you
received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being
comforted here, and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you
there is a great chasm fixed, in order that those who wish to come over from
here to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.’
And he said, ‘Then I beg you, Father, that you send him to my father’s
house—for I have five brothers— that he may warn them, lest they also come to
this place of torment.’
But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let
them hear them.’ But he said, ‘No, Father Abraham, but if someone goes to them
from the dead, they will repent!’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to
Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from
the dead’” (Luke 16:19-31).
Prior to death, conditions were completely reversed from
those after death. The rich man had all the pleasures his wealth could afford;
Lazarus, in contrast, had a meager and miserable existence. It would appear
that the rich man did little to ease the pain and misery of this beggar
Lazarus.
We may be troubled by the contrast between the rich and the
poor here. Why are we not told that Lazarus was a true believer in God, while
the rich man was an infidel? The context of Luke 16 helps to answer our
question. The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were scoffing at Jesus as He
taught (16:14). In the context of this chapter, they were unbelievers.
Their
unbelief was demonstrated by their love of money but lack of concern for the
poor (Matthew 23:14.). In telling this parable, Jesus clearly alluded to
them, in contrast to those true believers in Jesus, whom the Pharisees
disdained (Luke 18:9).
Men and women, brothers and sisters the bible clearly states
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding.” Proverb 3:5
It’s time to stop rejecting the One True God for some mental
belief you may have developed to initially get sober in the 12 Step Programs.
Getting sober has nothing to do with Christian Salvation. Many in the 12 Step community will find themselves sober and in Hell!!!

The bible states “My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that
thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I
will also forget thy children”. Hosea 4:6
It’s time to return to God.
He is a loving God. His love is
without limits but he not working for us, we serve Him. He cannot be understood outside of scriptures
which reveal Him as Jesus Christ.
I leave you with several Biblical scriptures that will
reveal to you the full gospel of Jesus Christ.
I hope this message will be taken in the loving spirit that I wrote it.
God Bless !!!!
2 Peter 2:4-9, 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

You know as a minister I read about 7 books a week. I do this to keep abreast of Political, socio, economic, and other religious ideologies that are cropping up as I write this comment. My mind has been conformed to the truth of Yeshua the messiah so I can now differentiate from the true/false.
ReplyDeleteListen just because you hear or read something which sounds good doesn't mean it’s true/truth. I recently read a book that stated no one will go to hell and everyone is saved, even those who don't believe in Christ. It went on to say that it didn't matter what you have done in life; there was no need to repent because you had done nothing wrong.
It continued God is a loving God and therefore He could never condemn someone to HELL. It stated that the Cross was a worn out idea and it ended with the idea ‘THAT WE WERE ALL gods.
I personally know of many who once profess Christ turn away from His truth to this New Age doctrine which teaches these very false Anti-Christian ideologies. It saddens me to see the “falling away “from Christ. Personally I’m going on record as saying “Just because I tolerate you does not mean I am in agreement with you.”
Don’t ever think you can take Christianity and "Pick A Part" anyway you want to create a spiritual lifestyle and think you will not escape “THE WRATH OF GOD.”
The bible says in Revelation 22:18-19 18For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
To the Christians out there. How can you not believe in Hell but believe in Heaven? How about believing that Satan doesn't exist but profess that God is real? I'm afraid for some folks out here.
ReplyDeleteThey Pick and Choose the Parts of the bible that feels good to them while omitting that which is hard to swallow.
The bible states In Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It's time to pull out that dusty bible and stop listening to fables and hearsay. I have heard some of the most ridiculous ideas about God in the past 13 days and seen many a so call professing Christian believe them.
What would make you believe the LIE, Satan? Why do you reject the One true God?
