Parables,Truth of God, and Faith By Minister Speed

Yeshua spoke in parable so that even though they heard them, they could not understand. Can you tell me why?

In Matthew 13:10-17, placed between the parable of the sower and its explanation, there is a section of great importance in which we see the disciples asking Jesus why He taught in parables. 

This is an excellent question indeed. Why did the Lord Jesus teach in parables rather than using plain statements? We will realize Jesus’ answer to that question further on but first let’s take a look at this passage.

Mat 13:10. And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?" 

11 He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 

12 "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

13 "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

14 "And in them the prophecy of Isaiah 6 is fulfilled, which says:

 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 for the hearts of this people have grown dull. 

Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.' 

16 "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 "for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

The effect of the truth of God

Let’s put Isaiah 6 in its context. Isaiah, this great prophet of God, had a vision of God’s majesty, holiness and glory. He responded to this vision with great humility, saying, Woe is me … a man of unclean lips (Isaiah 6:5). It was after this incident that God appointed Isaiah to preach to the inhabitants of Judah. 

The Lord said to him, ‘Go, and speak to these people. Make their heart fat (slow of spiritual understanding).  Close their eyes (their understanding spiritually). Make their ears heavy so that they do not hear the voice and truth of Yahweh.

 Why did God say that? When you go back and read the first five chapters of Isaiah, you understand why. 

Because the people of Judah had already shut their eyes. They have already hardened their hearts.

Most members of the nation had become insensitive to their need of cleansing from sin. Isaiah was told to take God’s message to an obstinate and rebellious nation that is facing judgment and exile for refusing to respond properly to God. 

Now, put yourself in the shoes of Isaiah. Let’s suppose that God gave you that command. ‘Go and make the heart of these people dull. Shut their eyes. Close their ears.’ What would you do? How are you going to obey God’s instruction? Is it really possible to blind people’s eyes?

Look at Isaiah’s response in Isaiah 6:11.

Lord, how long? Three little words. Lord, how long?

Isaiah wondered how long he would have to go on delivering a message of judgment to which the people would be callous. His question implies that he was going to preach to the nation and that he was ready to speak whatever God wanted him to say. So how do you shut people’s ears and blind their eyes? 

It’s quite simple. Isaiah went and proclaimed the truth. 

That’s all that he needed to do.

You see, the truth will do one of these two things in every person’s life. The truth will either open your eyes or it will blind your eyes. The truth of God will either open your ears or it will shut your ears. The truth of God will either make you alive or it will kill you. 

When the word of God is preached, some are going to shut their ears and some are going to open their hearts. Some people are going to live and some people are going to die.

When Isaiah preached to the stiff-necked and rebellious people of Judah, he didn't have to do anything special to shut their eyes. He just had to preach the truth and they resisted it. 

The people had not listened before and they would not listen to Isaiah now. In fact, on hearing Isaiah’s message, the people would become even more hardened against the Lord.

Once we understand this, we understand by what means God can blind the people. You just speak the truth. That’s all that you have to do.

The expression ‘Go, make the heart of this people fat, and shut their ears’ does not refer to a direct act of God in blinding the mind. Isaiah was to go and proclaim the truth and the result will be, because of the hardness of their heart that their eyes will be blinded and their hearts hardened.

The effect of the truth on such people will be to irritate and harden their minds. As time progresses, their minds will become more and more impenetrable, gradually making belief impossible. 

It is in that sense that God’s commanding Isaiah to preach the message was the same in effect as if He had commanded the prophet to blind their eyes and harden their hearts. It is the same today and many have a Reprobate mind as a result of turning away from Yahweh and His voice.

Isaiah 6:9-10 describes Israel’s failure to respond to the prophet’s message. Jesus regarded Himself as parallel to the rejection of Isaiah and his message. 

He says in Matthew 13:14, In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive." 

In quoting this passage, Jesus wanted to explain that Israel in His day could not believe because they would not believe.

Luke 17:5-10 - Faith

5The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 

6He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

Jesus is concerned not about faith's volume but about its presence. God can work with even a little faith. 

Parable of the Mustard seed. He was not talking about the size of the mustard seed? He was talking about the potency in a mustard seed. A mustard seed will grow into a very large plant.

Imagine taking a teaspoon of mustard and placing it directly on your tongue. It would be like fire.  A mustard seed that has not been diluted with other ingredients is 100 times more potent than that teaspoon of mustard.

This is what Yeshua was talking about.  The potency of a small amount of faith.

If you have faith the size (the potency) of a grain of mustard seed then you can move mountains.

He is saying we need to have powerful faith not volume amounts of faith.  Our faith needs to have potency.   It needs to be real. We need faith like fire!!!

So Jesus says, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, `Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you." The mustard seed was among the smallest seeds in Palestine, while the sycamine tree, probably a black mulberry tree, lived up to six hundred years.

The Sycamine tree required a vast root network to draw up the ground's nutrients. Jesus is arguing that a little faith can do surprising things, especially if done through a spoken word it can pull up a tree with a huge root system and hurl it into the sea. 

Of course, the remark is a rhetorical picture of faith's power.

It is like Jesus' remark about a camel's ability to go through the eye of a needle. It makes the point hyperbolically (exaggerated statement, not meant to be taken literally):

Stop worrying about how great your faith is or the lack of it; only apply what you have and watch it work.

The only reason a person would ask for more faith is because they are not operating with the small faith they have and believe they need to have volumes of it to be spiritually successful in this world.  

What a disgusting thought this must have been to Yashua.  

This is why is said oh ye of little faith. 

Matthew 8:26, and he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Matthew 14:31, and immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.

Matthew 16:8, which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 

Faith is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8),” If it is a gift then it need no merit and must be received as such.  A gift.  

Again I say faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).” 

The word of God is Yashua Hamaschia.  Jesus Christ!!!  

Legislation Verses Morality By Minister Speed

Legislation does not change Morality.

Everybody's looking for the government to change things when if any change is to occur it will be through the most powerful organization on planet Earth.  

The Church. The church is the most powerful organization on planet Earth. It is time to come out of the ways of the world, align up to God's will and advance in the name of Jesus Christ.  The church has no business being dependent upon government, the church has no business being weak.  God said after the Holy Ghost come you shall receive Power !!!

But the church at this moment in America is weak, she is guilty !!! 

Speaking loud but saying nothing, letting our children go to hell while we sitting up in the pews singing....

I said the church is guilty !!! It won't speak the truth, it won't speak God's doctrine.  The church in America is teaching about prosperity, about a pie in the sky ATM god.  We need God right here in our lives, our morales and values.  The answer is not in your Voting resgistration, it's not in Obama and his philosophy of change, and legislation of taxation. It is not in food being given away.  The answer is in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  The people need TRUTH !!!!!!

We need to get them save, they need to be Born Again!!!

They need to know Jesus.  You need to know Jesus !!!

The thing about that is we have to be in Gods order to receive of His divine favor. We have allowed even our children to become open to the attacks of Satan in such disproportionate numbers that its catastrophic. We now look to the government and state officials to fix their situation.

The Holy scriptures says "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

If- a condition which suggest that a requirement must be met in order for a thing to exist.

Most of these kids and their parents have a big out of order sign on their life which gives the enemy free access to destroy their very souls.

Christ dies so we could have Salvation. Salvation is not an earthly promise but you receive it after you physicall die.

We need to come out of living in our Salvation and live IN CHRIST. To be Holy and Renew our Minds through His word.

It's going to get worse than anyone could ever imagine if you're not in God's will as a inheritor of His divine favor and blessings.

When are you going to pick up your weapon of warfare.

This is a war. Sacrifice is what victory Is measured upon.

The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and violence take it by force. When are you going to pick up your weapon of warfare.

What type of military strategy suggest waiting for the attack? Must we always be in a position of defeat before we are incensed enough to move forward in battle.

We are in the last days and we must develop a more proactive stance. We have been given The Sword of the Spirit which is the very Word of God itself. We wear the very Armor whose design was made by the hand of God.

Beside all this God Himself lives within us to ensure that His purpose, pattern, and plan are Supernaturally transmitted to us without the enemy's knowledge.

We have been made Holy, Set Apart and a Distinct Entity with a Kingdom of our own. That's not the end of it.

We have a Leader that is both King and High Priest, Warrior and Peace Maker. He by Himself stood against the forces we battle against and defeated them all soundly, completely, and permanently.

All we have to do is have Faith in Him our Commander In Chief and we are assured Salvation and then Victory against the wrath to come. If we strive to be obedient to his ways we can rest assure that the life we live on this plane will be to an advantage.

The Just shall live by faith, not logic, not reason, but faith. Get out of the problem and realize that our God is bigger than any problem. Stop looking at what you're going through and look at where you're going to. Stop focusing on the Condition and move toward the Relation.

This is abundant living. The Covenant is binding , legal, authoritative and PowerFilled.

There is more to Christ than you've been told. When are you going to pick up your weapon of warfare?

The Pagan Origins Of St. Valentines Day By Minister Speed

Saint Valentine's day is 14th February. For my Christian brothers and sisters this is definitely a pagan day of celebration which detours from the Word of God and His Holy Spirit.

The celebrations of St. Valentine's Day are steeped in legend and mystery; indeed the motives behind the day's creation and even St. Valentine himself have been shrouded in controversy and doubt.

Saint Valentine's Day embraces a time of year that is historically associated with love and fertility. It encompasses the sacred marriage of Zeus and Hera in Ancient Athens and the Ancient Roman festival of Lupercus, the god of fertility.

The priests of Lupercus would perform a traditional purification ritual, slaughtering goats to the god, and after consuming wine, they would run through the streets of Rome holding aloft the skins of the goats touching anyone they met. The occasion compelled floods of young women to the streets in the belief that being touched would improve their chances of conceiving and bring forth easy childbirth. There remains some speculation over the exact date of the celebration.

Another version of the story adds more details and authenticity to its origin.

Those Wild and Crazy Romans:

From Feb. 13 to 15, the Romans celebrated the feast of Lupercalia.

The men sacrificed a goat and a dog, then whipped women with the hides of the animals they had just slain.

The Roman romantics "were drunk. They were naked," says Noel Lenski, a historian at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Young women would actually line up for the men to hit them, Lenski says. They believed this would make them fertile.

The brutal fete included a matchmaking lottery, in which young men drew the names of women from a jar. The couple would then be, um, coupled up for the duration of the festival – or longer, if the match was right.

The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D.

Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.

Later, Pope Gelasius I muddled things in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine's Day with Lupercalia to expel the pagan rituals.

But the festival was more of a theatrical interpretation of what it had once been. Lenski adds, "It was a little more of a drunken revel, but the Christians put clothes back on it. That didn't stop it from being a day of fertility and love."

Shakespeare In Love:

As the years went on, the holiday grew sweeter. Chaucer and Shakespeare romanticized it in their work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe.

Handmade paper cards became the tokens-du-jour in the Middle Ages.Eventually, the tradition made its way to the New World.

The industrial revolution ushered in factory-made cards in the 19th century. And in 1913, Hallmark Cards of Kansas City, Mo., began mass producing valentines. February has not been the same since.

Today, the holiday is big business: According to market research firm IBIS World, Valentine's Day sales reached $17.6 billion last year; this year's sales are expected to total $18.6 billion dollars in America alone. It is easy to see from my perspective that from its origin to its shrewd capitalistic ending Valentines day has nothing to do with love, or the truth of God.

As an estimated one billion cards are exchanged this St Valentine's Day - spare a thought for the ancient Pagan custom that the Catholic Church has tried to hide from you, for St Valentine's Day is the Eve of Lupercalia, the Pagan Roman festival of fertility."--St Valentine's Day or Ancient Pagan Sex Rite?

Spiritual Exercise, Spiritual Experiences, Spiritual Revealtions By Minister Speed

As many of you know I believe that the word of God is relevant and holds true for us today as much as it was written in the days of old.  Brothers and Sisters we are entering a exciting yet fearsome new dispensation for the world we live in.  The word of God is coming alive and gives us precise instructions on what to expect and how to react.  I would like to give a relevant word of knowledge from God.

Spiritual Exercise 

The active conditioning of the Spirit man using the Power of the Holy Spirit to consciously and appropriately apply Gods Word.

The Bible teaches the importance of training and conditioning in order to follow Christ. Jesus is calling Christians to train and practice a godly lifestyle.

The following Bible verses provide principles on how to be more Christ-like. Study and mediate on these passages so you can be trained in righteousness and be equipped for every good work.

Here are some God breathing scriptures to help you develop spiritual Exercise to condition your spirit man.

Proverb 22:6

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Luke 6:40

A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

1 Corinthians 9:25

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Ephesians 6:4

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

1 Timothy 4:7

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.

1 Timothy 4:8

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Spiritual Experiences

The displacement and rearrangement of Ideas and beliefs to allow the word of God to take effect.

Some people have strong religious experiences, and think of them as proof of God's working in their hearts.

Often these experiences give people a sense of the importance of the spiritual world, and the reality of divine things. However, these, too, are no sure proof of salvation.

Demons and damned human beings have many spiritual experiences which have a great effect on their heart attitudes. They live in the spiritual world and see first-hand what it is like.  Their sufferings show them the worth of salvation and the worth of a human soul in the most powerful way imaginable.

The parable in Luke chapter 16 teaches this clearly, as the suffering man asks that Lazarus might be sent to tell his brothers to avoid this place of torment. No doubt people in hell now have a distinct idea of the vastness of eternity, and of the shortness of life.  They are completely convinced that all the things of this life are unimportant when compared to the experiences of the eternal world.  People now in hell have a great sense of the preciousness of time, and of the wonderful opportunities people have, who have the privilege of hearing the Gospel. They are completely aware of the foolishness of their sin, of neglecting opportunities, and ignoring the warnings of God.

When sinners find out by personal experience the final result of their sin there is "weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matt 13:42) So even the most powerful religious experiences are not a sure sign of God's grace in the heart.

Demons and damned people also have a strong sense of God's majesty and power. God's power is most clearly displayed in his execution of divine vengeance upon his enemies. 

"What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath-prepared for destruction?" (Rom 9:22) Shuddering, the devils await their final punishment, under the strongest sense of God's majesty.

They feel it now, of course, but in the future it will show to the greatest degree, when the Lord Jesus "is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels." (2 Thess 2:7) On that day, they will desire to be run away, to be hidden from the presence of God. "Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him." (Rev 1:7) So everyone will see him in the glory of His Father. But, obviously, not all who see him will be saved. Make sure you're experiences line up with the word of God.

Spiritual Revelations

To hear the revealed word of God and as a result vision Gods Purpose, Pattern, and Plan for your life.

Ephesians 1:17 "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better."

Revelation- based learning" invites the Holy Spirit into the center of the learning process. Spirit-Anointed Teachers draw their listeners into revelation based learning.   “They were amazed at His teaching; He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” (Mark 1:22)

What is Revelation-based Knolwedge?

An example of revelation knowledge is when you are reading the Bible and a verse leaps off the page, hits you between the eyes, and God says, "This is for you right now." These are precious experiences for the believer. However, for many, they do not happen often enough. There are several things I do which allow me the privilege of receiving revelation knowledge every time I read the Bible.

Truth and insights leap off the page and an understanding of how they are to adjust my life permeates my spirit and soul. I love this experience and hunger for it every time I read the Scriptures. 

I have taken the liberty of listing 7 principles that will help you gain Spiritual Revelation from God in Christ and propel you into NEW dynamic living in 2013.

1.To honestly and earnestly receive Jesus Christ as LORD. This settles where we will be when we die and brings peace to our soul. If God is Lord, then he must be in absolute control of our life, our decisions, choices, and actions. Any decision without specific action is delusional as faith without work is dead.

2.To constantly read the Holy Scriptures. Our life and experiences are a testimony to God and we must constantly test our mind (examination) against the word of God for personal growth (renewal). In II Timothy 2:15 (paraphrased) it says study the word of God to show that you may confirm it, and be able to receive all that God has promised, with expertise and understanding of Him who sent it , able to give portions of the word to those that are lost without being ashamed yourself. The Holy Scripture are the foundation for life.

3.To have a strong prayer life. Jesus said the prayer of a righteous man avails much. We have also been commanded to pray for one another. As Christians, prayer is a power source and as we are in perilous times, all of our actions and ideas must be grounded in prayer.

4.To maintain a clear conscious with God. To understand that God has placed within us the Holy Spirit to guide, direct, teach, and also to warn us or give signals when we are missing the mark in sin. To strengthen His presence, we must confess our sins and then repent (stop and turn away) in Jesus’s name. There must be no controversy between believer and God as sin retained will separate us from God’s presence.

5.To be Holy. God has called us to be set apart, to be different and peculiar. We are to live in the world, but not act as those who are of the world. To live in this world means to minimize the works of the Holy Spirit in our lives. To be holy is to live as God commands in His Holy Scripture. To be able to live this way we must be empowered by the Holy Spirit. 

Listen most people wait a lifetime wanting to know what being holy means.  Simply put to be holy is to believe what God says is wrong...IS WRONG, and to believe what God says is right...IS RIGHT.  The reading of the bible MUST be the foundational exercise in your life.

6.To have a proper attitude. Attitude denotes a stance or perception on life. As Christians, our attitudes should reflect an understanding of God’s will in our life. We are married to Christ and should be mindful of anything we bring into this relationship or place before this marriage as this would constitute adultery. God does not want anything before Him in this Holy relationship.

7.To put on the full armor of God. Although the war has been won, the scripture states “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places… (EPH 6:12). This battle is from within and we must be prepared for warfare at all time. For this reason, we understand the spiritual strategies (principles) God has given us to defeat the enemy’s attack. We believe that understanding of God’s armor will bring victory in every area of life.

Lastly know that if you are out of order then God is not obligated to bring FAVOR and BLESSINGS your way.  Many people have a big OUT OF ORDER sign on their life and are begging and pleading for God to bring supernatural change, prosperity, and favor their way.  If you keep on living the way you did in 2011, then you will get the same things you had in 2012.  God bless and LET'S GET IN ORDER!!!
