Christians are losing their Freedom Of Speech By Minister Speed

I am glad I am a citizen of the United States, but there are times when “American values” conflict with “Christian values”.  I have witness many a Christian become paralysis with fear and muzzled because they know that to speak the truth of God in Jesus Christ will single them out as opposition to the majority and with that comes names like bigoted, prejudice, and intolerant.  However I would like to set the record straight that while freedom of speech is an American right serve to most;

It is not a Christian’s right anymore!!!

The church today has been effectively muzzled and brought to a point of apathy and political correctness in attempting to not offend.  Jesus offended many people when He walked the earth. Not deliberately, of course, but it happened. He brought new truth, so it was unavoidable.  

While He did not intentionally offend Paul did state in Galatians 4:16 “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”

Even today, we see the masses of society falling prey to the “lying wonders” of Satan. It couldn't be any more blatant that The White House administration openly supports abortion and sodomy as a normal lifestyle and uses the might of the USA to push these agendas to the American people.  

“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders” (2nd Thessalonians 2:9). Satan is a master liar, he knows exactly how to deceive the masses of ignorant people (those who love not the truth). 

Satan inspired, Adolph Hitler, said... “People are more likely to believe a big lie than a small one.”

Sadly, America's Christians are blinded to the truth because they love not the truth. Too many people have religiosity without truth, churchianity without Christianity. The truth couldn't be any more obvious, but the masses of society are sleeping. Tragically, America's born again Christians are sleeping as well. “Awake to righteousness...” (1st Corinthians 15:34). Wake up!

The TRUTH is the TRUTH, even if no one believes it; a LIE is a LIE, even if everyone believes it!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ Has Always Offended the Wicked!  Romans 9:33 refers to Christ as a “stumbling block” and a "Rock of Offence.” Jesus clearly taught in Matthew 10:34, 35 that He did NOT come to this world to bring peace. 

Let me clarify, Jesus' did come to die upon the cross for our sins; thus, enabling us to have peace with God through the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ. BUT, Jesus also expects us to PREACH the Gospel, which OFFENDS most people. 

Let me define “Gospel” so there is no misunderstanding. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines the “Gospel” as the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of Christ Jesus. This includes the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:9).

 I too believe we should remember our call to be Christ – like. It’s a topic that has had my attention for some time. However, I’m wondering if part of the reason we are where we are isn’t this very thinking.

 Isn’t it possible to ATTEMPT to take what Christ has written and try to offend NO ONE – to the point that the Gospel loses its power? We don’t want to offend, so we say nothing to point out that others are not following Christ’s teachings.

Let me give you an example. I know there are couples in my church who are living together but aren’t married. Since living together has become socially acceptable in our country, we Christians often make the choice to tolerate this choice because we don’t want to offend them and we don’t want them to leave the church. However, by doing this very thing we negate the teachings of scripture that it is a sin to have intimate relations outside of marriage.

So, we dilute the teachings in favor of being non-offensive. I believe this is at the core of the decline of the church. It makes us hypocrites, and totally repulsive to those who seek a way of life whose followers actually follow the teachings.

On a secular level free speech is a gift that the framers of the constitution valued above most every other right in this country.  The backdrop of the Revolution was the expression of ideas by the Anglican (English) Church, and deists, freethinkers, Baptists, Calvinists, Methodists, and the like desired the universal ability to be free to espouse their ideas without a fear of retribution.

However, this freedom is increasingly in duress, and has been in the news recently in several different manifestations.  Furthermore, this phenomenon has begun to assert itself that the Christian ideas are not truth that can any longer stand up and be accepted as such. 

I give you the example of the dilemma created when Jason Collins a 3rd string 7 foot tall NBA player came out of the closet as being gay.  He was immediately accepted and praised by the American public even to the President of the USA, but when ESPN sports analyst came out and stated that he believed that personally homosexually was a sin many condemn him as homophobic, a bigot, and demanded that he be fired from his career employment for using his right to free speak. 

Remember when San Francisco cornerback Chris Culliver apologized last year for comments he made in revealing his true feeling about an openly gay player in the locker room/shower?  He was force to recant his freedom of speech by the pressure imposed on him by the media and employer.  

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver answers questions Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in New Orleans, regarding anti-gay remarks he made during Super Bowl media day Tuesday. Culliver apologized for the comments he made to a comedian, saying "that's not what I feel in my heart." The 49ers are scheduled to play the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL Super Bowl XLVII football game on Feb. 3.

The general consensus is he should have held his tongue but his views are probably shared by a very large majority of players.  Just because the politically correct media tries to castrate anyone who opposes the gay lifestyle for whatever reason does not change human nature.  

Supposedly gays make up around 6% or less of the population but their agenda has gone from demanding tolerance to almost demanding that the lifestyle be looked upon as normal.  Because of the political correctness and stigma associated with speaking out Christian many are choosing to muzzle the Word and allow this sin and many others to go uncheck and this will most definitely cause them to go to hell and live in eternity without God.

Still don’t believe that Christians are losing the right to free speech?

SWEDISH PASTOR JAILED FOR PREACHING HOMOSEXUALITY A SIN

A Swedish pastor who preached a sermon on the Biblical prohibitions against homosexual behavior is waiting to see if the Supreme Court of Sweden will send him to jail for six months for doing so.

Ake Green, the pastor of a small-town Pentecostal church, delivered his sermon in 2003 and has been in the prosecutor’s crosshairs ever since. Charged with violating a Swedish hate speech law that protects homosexuals from “intimidation” and “agitation,” he was sentenced to a month in jail last year by a district court. An appeals court overturned his conviction, but the prosecutor has appealed to the Supreme Court and has asked that the 68-year-old pastor’s jail term be increased to six months.

The Supreme Court heard arguments this month and is expected to rule sometime next year.

Hate Speech?

Pastor Green’s sermon, entitled “Is Homosexuality Genetic or an Evil Force that Plays Mind Games with People?”, carefully cites Bible passages demonstrating that sodomy, in the eyes of God, is a sin. He warns that Sweden, because of its embrace of homosexuality, may be in acute danger of God’s judgment. He teaches that persons guilty of this sin, by repenting and relying on God’s grace, can be freed from bondage to it and saved.

The pastor backs up everything he says with verses from the Bible. At no point does he advocate violence against homosexuals, condone hatred or rejection of them, or recommend any action but prayer and the preaching of the gospel

Nevertheless, homosexuals complained and the prosecutor went into action. This is because Sweden has a law that “prohibits the expression of ‘disrespect’ towards favored minority groups,” explained Jared Leland of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty (www.becketfund.org), who has written a “friend of the court” brief that has been accepted into the record by the Swedish Supreme Court.

The Becket Fund, Washington, D.C., is an official nongovernmental organization (NGO) that consults with the United Nations.

“Pastor Green’s entire speech was based on Biblical interpretation,” Leland said. “It does not threaten anyone; it does not call people to action to place the public order in disarray.”

The Swedish law, he said, is similar to a notorious Pennsylvania law against “ethnic intimidation” under which 11 Christians were arrested and jailed in Philadelphia last summer when they tried to preach at a city-funded homosexual street fair. A city judge dismissed the case.

“Ultimately what’s at stake here is religious expression,” Leland said. “A religious expression was made that offended a prominent minority, and the offense was in the eye of the beholder.

“The issue is not homosexuality. It’s religious expression and conviction, and the right of preachers to preach about religious interpretation from the pulpit.”

Leland wrote an article in defense of the pastor. It was widely published in Sweden last year, and the response surprised him.

“It got a very hostile response from Swedish newspaper columnists,” he said. “They all say, ‘You don’t understand our culture. This man should go to jail for two years — not six months!’”

Can It Happen Here?

Hate speech bills — usually aimed at making the homosexual agenda immune to public criticism — come up in the U.S. Congress every year.

According to Leland, the U.S. government has signed on to most of the human rights treaties, including the ICCPR. What concerns us is that “domestic law does not trump international law,” as Leland put it. Have we subordinated our Constitution and Bill of Rights to international treaty? These treaties, as applied in Europe, have been used to support homosexual militancy and persecute its opponents — including, now, a preacher in his pulpit.

California last year enacted a hate speech law very similar to the one Sweden is using against Ake Green. The Pennsylvania law used against the “Philadelphia 11” has not yet been repealed.

What with international treaties, state laws, and proposed federal laws, for how much longer will America be without a case like Ake Green’s?

If this continues Americans, especially Christians, as well as those throughout the world who enjoy free speech, could find themselves in a 1984 George Orwell type society where doublespeak is the only allowable language.

In closing I  suggest that there has to be a balance. We stand up for what we believe in at all costs (as did the Apostle Paul), and yet mind our conversation so that it gives life, even when it isn’t popular. Criticism and hate speech are never welcome, but perhaps loving honesty and guidance are necessary.

Christians, The Anti-Christ, and America By Minister Speed

I'm so glad that President Obama has awakened White Christian America up to "certain" truth.  These truths have been there since the beginning and I believe Obama is one of Anti Christ who is just the continuation of all his predecessors.  Christians, can you tell me the most RACIST day of the week.  That's right SUNDAY.

 Legislature is not where our power lie.  We are the church and it's time to come together.  Yes we know that prophecies are running its course but that brings us only temporary comfort because we are to help "Reap the Harvest" In season and out of season meaning In opportune time and Un opportune time.  I don't selfishly sit back and get contentment from my Salvation only. 

The mark of the beast is in the right hand, and forehead.  This can be seen in a witness (raise your right hand) and who you follow or has control of your mind (forehead). Before this happens trust me you will see implants, Lo jack in phones, bracelets on children, Healthcare provision (implants) for those first with no healthcare.  It's already being implemented in most cattle, cell phone, automobiles, but these are just precursors to a completely new system of government in which the majority of people will be living in a slave indebted system with a one world monetary system, a one world religious system, and a one world leader. 

Trust me we are already there.  Obama pretty much has been given the acceleration button and done more in 4 years than all 43 POTUS before him but trust me that all 43 are and were just as wicked as he is and he is just continuing their agenda.   Thank God he was black because he brought out the truth in certain people.  Maybe if the system was fair black folk would have no reason to rally around a fool.

Last but not least many Christian state " I will not be taken any chips or Mark of the beast."  Listen this is what that means.  They may kill your child in front of you and ask you to recant Christ.  No mortgage/no home, no insurance of any kind, no car, bus pass or any mode of transportation, no registration for anything, no buying food without the mark, no bank accounts or accounts of any kind, no schools for kids private or public, no college without the mark, no cable T.V, internet, or phone calls, no gasoline, no buying of anything out of any stores of any kind. 

If the Holy Spirit doesn't encapsulate and protect you then you will comply and you will take the mark of the beast because you will see nothing wrong with it.  Also know we are close to a lot of these measures being taken right now in America and around the world. Most of them with Christian’s permission.

If you were born in the 50 and 60"s then In the next 10 years you won't know America from when you grew up. Many Christians will also find out they are not and have never been Christians.

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson speaks to President Obama on Governing Gods' way.

February 7, 2013 - One of the more unique speeches delivered at this morning's National Prayer Breakfast came from Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, a world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Taking the stage before President Barack Obama's faith-filled address, Carson spoke for more than 25 minutes, tackling issues ranging from education to personal responsibility. His keynote, while predicated upon the theme of Jesus Christ as his ultimate role model, also took a starkly political tone, advocating against some of the very policies the president has implemented. At the beginning of his speech, Carson shared an intense disdain for political correctness. Without getting too specific on the issue front, he said that Americans should stop being afraid to speak up and defend their beliefs; he also encouraged people to respect the individuals they disagree with. Carson held little back, condemning political correctness as "a horrible thing" that is "dangerous," as it hampers freedom of thought and expression.

"We've reached a point where people are actually afraid to talk about what they want to say, because somebody might be offended," Carson said, noting the example of people refraining from saying "Merry Christmas." "We've got to get over this sensitivity and it keeps people from saying what they really believe." Carson encouraged discussion about societal issues, also pointing out education as an essential conundrum the country needs to confront. He highlighted his own path from poverty to success, sharing very personal details about his parents and early family life and subsequently described the importance of helping students seeking to advance academically through his Carson Scholars Fund.

The speech took an interesting turn when the doctor cautioned that moral decay and fiscal irresponsibility can have dire consequences — even for powerful countries like America. Here, he became even more pointed and impassioned.

"I think particularly about ancient Rome. Very powerful — nobody could even challenge them militarily...they destroyed themselves from within," Carson continued. "Moral decay. Fiscal irresponsibility."

While he said America's issues are dire, he was positive that the nation can fix its ways, as there are bright and innovative people who simply need to come together to address the problems at hand. "And one of our big problems right now...our deficit is a big problem," he said, as Obama watched him intently. "Think about it — and our national debt — $16 and a half trillion dollars." To illustrate just how massive the debt is, Carson told the audience that if they counted one number per second, it would take them 507,000 years to get to the sum total. The doctor said that the massive fiscal blunder is something that the nation must contend with. From there, he moved on to taxation, seemingly taking a stance in direct opposition to Obama's.

"What about our taxation system — so complex there is no one that can possibly comply with every jot and tittle," he noted, going on to call for a simpler (i.e. flat tax) system. "When I pick up my Bible, you know what I see — I see the fairest individual in the universe — God — and he's given us a system. It's called tithe." Carson progressed, seemingly comparing the tithe, at least in principal, to the flat tax system. Rather than continuing to tier taxes owed, he argued that everyone should pay the same proportion and that, through this fairer system, money sent by wealthier Americans for protection abroad should be brought back to America to help build infrastructure and create additional jobs. The doctor also addressed medical care, advocating for health savings accounts and railing against the notion that Americans should be sending money into a large bureaucratic system.

No to Obama…The Lawless One! By Minister Speed

I voted for Obama in "08"but this year even I had to admit  something was "wrong." When Barack campaign and said "CHANGE" I was led to believe he meant "apart" from the Status Quo. Apart from the lobbyist filling cabinet positions. Apart from a shredding of the Constitution. NDAA? come on. The continuation of Bush failed Unconstitutional policies!!!

Lastly what about African Americans? I'm not talking about a few cabinet positions. I'm talking about Black people. Barack has royally bent over for the homosexual agenda and continues to tell his own people "to man up."

Is it just me or did I fall for the same ole Political Primary hogwash or did I really believe Obama would galvanize the grass root movement and start a trend back towards "We the people, for the people, by the people?"

For those who comment I am asking you to do so without the Pseudo Emotional attachment and please don't mention G. W as 3 years have passed and we know the disgusting and dishonest things he perpetuated on the American people.

Obama promise to eradicate those Unconstitutional policies but has chosen to forge ahead as if he were a more intellectual version of G. W.

I'm one man that you may fool me once but you will never get that opportunity again.

President Obama behavior is the worst I've seen in any standing President in my day. I just don't understand how people esp. African Americans can continue to be deceived on the level that they are.

I owe no allegiance to anyone or anything that denigrates the Constitution of the Republic of the USA. Please feel free to comment open, honest, and in any way you choose as that is also another right he is infringing upon.

Oh and for the Republicans it's not any better on that side. These 2 parties are like the Prosecutor and Public Defendant. They put on a show in the public Courts yet behind the scene make deals and laugh at the poor fool that is depending on and trusting them to do the right thing.

He's a fraud and I say that as an American. He's a liar and I say that as an American. He as close to following Soviet Socialism as any person that claims to be an American. That's Jimmie the American citizen who has spent more hours following and researching and listening to Him and pouring over his documents and bills and policies than any other POTUS.  He was a Constitutional Professor and knows the fabric of our life expertly.  Before he was sworn in he had a preconceive idea about the constitution and knew before he was sworn in that he did not believe in America the independent, the middle class, and the capitalistic ideas that America was founded on. 

 He said I swear to protect and uphold the Constitution of the USA of America.  A Few years later he's saying it's an outdated institution/document that does not reflect our time and the founding fathers could not have had the insight to see this when in fact they did and warned about it. He not only straight lied, he was the perfect actor. Heck at least with Bush you knew what you were going to get.

I guess I fell for the hype and skin color. So what I’m saying basically is that the whole system is a farce and has nothing to do with true representation of the American People, but more of A elitist self ideology in which we the people are gullible enough to believe that we are steering the course of this nation or am I missing something intricately needed to be ok "with this"

This guy is threat to our national security.  I'd rather be on my belly with God than on a Mt. Top with the devil.  Obama is a DECEIVER!!! I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO KEEP HIM OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE.

The entire world is engaged in the terrible Spiritual battle between good and evil. With Satan’s rebellion overthrown and his from exile heaven, He seized authority from Adam through deception and continues his rebellion here in the earthly realm.

This rebellion has infiltrated its way into the very world wherein the saints of God live. Satan has transformed himself into an agent of God and created an organize religion which desires to imitate the hierarchy of God based upon falsehood. His strategy is to destroy the divine and legitimate government of God by counteracting the truth with lies. 

Thus, a counterfeit Christ exists, counterfeit Christianity is manifested, and the truth mingled in error and ignorant prevails. The Bible has been bombarded by opinions, traditions, and false doctrines which have created a people who sleep and slumber.  Therefore;

● The church has never been weaker, more powerless and fragmented as it is now.  

● Church leadership has come under active spiritual contention and has failed.  

● Many churches are failing to teach from the Bible. They have resorted to marketing strategies, psycho analysis, and a political correctness that includes religious inclusivism.  

● There has been a cataclysmic decline in church membership in the past two decades.
