Because of the Media Industrial Complex in America and their prejudical blackout of the Kermit Gosnell Baby killing story (Gosnell was arrested January 2011), many Americans remain completely ignorant of this horrendous act.
I personally read a minumum of over 1,000 articles per week, 5 books weekly, speaking engagement 2 X weekly and teach bible classes 2 X weekly. This is aside from any work I do on a professional level.
In spite of all my research it was still over a year before I saw anything related to this horrific news story.

However on the flip side, when Chris Broussard the ESPN analysist spoke out against Jason Collins the 3rd String Free Agent NBA player "coming out of the closet" The News Media Industrial Complex had a field day and suggested he should be fired from his career because he had a difference of opinion and was "man" enough to speak using the "Freedom of Speech" afforded him by the Constitution.
Wait a minuted. What if Planned Parenthood was caught in the act allowing underage Sex Slaves/Prostitutes have an abortion without reporting the Pimp who came out stating he was such. This would definitely be National News Right? Wrong....Please see video below.

Jim DeMint continues sending shock waves through the Washington establishment in his new post atop the conservative Heritage Foundation, this time calling on the grassroots citizenry to rise up and replace the mainstream media when it comes to their blackout of coverage of the atrocities of Kermit Gosnell.
“The murder trial of Kermit Gosnell has touched all Americans who have heard about it and brought home to them the unspeakable cruelties that have happened at abortion clinics in our own nation,” DeMint said in a Friday statement.“The trial is now nearing its first solid month of deliberation, holding the 72-year-old abortionist accountable for the unspeakable procedures committed to countless women and children in his abortion facility.
Nobody who has read the testimony or seen the pictures can come away unshaken.”
Even so, DeMint argues that not enough Americans have seen this story because most major media outlets have ignored it.
But, the former South Carolina senator notes that the mainstream media are hardly the only source of news anymore, and that new media are taking old media’s place.
“Thankfully the mainstream media are not the only source of news anymore, and citizens can take to social media to raise awareness with their neighbors, family, and friends,” DeMint wrote.
“After almost a month of relentless goading from surprised Americans, shocked by the extensive media blackout on a case riddled with death and exploitation, Gosnell and his trial are finally trending on Twitter.”
“But it is time major media outlets start covering this atrocity and stop being silent,” DeMint added.
“No wonder Americans say again and again that they don’t trust the media.
How is it that a trial involving a man who has allegedly taken the lives of numerous innocent children—many of whom had been born into good health, and all of whom are entitled to the same blessings of this life as you and I—is being seen as a ‘local news story’ at best?”
DeMint ended his statement with a call to action.
“The media’s willful indifference to the trial of Kermit Gosnell is wrong,” he said.
“It’s time for us to take action. I urge you to take to social media—take to whatever outlet at your disposal—to call attention to these horrific crimes and stand up for those who couldn’t defend themselves.”

Gosnell was arrested in January 2011 and charged—along with other crimes and various co-defendant employees—with eight counts of murder resulting from gross medical malpractice in treatment of patients at his clinics. The murder charges related to a patient who died while under his care and seven newborns said to have been killed after being born alive during attempted abortions.
