Spiritual Soldier's Prayer of Faith By Minister Speed

Father I know that you are real and that you are God. I know that your Son is my Savior and He came to destroy the works of the devil. I know by faith the Holy Spirit of God lives within me and that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens and operates through me. 

Father by faith and without doubt I come against anything that is not of you and that's which produces evil against my brothers and sisters. Father God I call on your word as witness that no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me The Holy Spirit shall send judgement.

I come against and therfore speak against every spirit which would work in dis - obedience aganist the Spirit of the Living God. Not by my might, nor by my power, but by your Spirit, I Am. Through your Annointing I can do all things and I can claim those things that be not as though they already exist. 

Father I thank you that you have heard me, and I am grateful that you saw fit to redeem me and give my life favor. I yield my body, spirit, and soul as a living channel, an instrument to do your will.

Use me as one would use a servant that your will and purpose might be made manifested in, through, and upon my life and I will give you all the glory because you are worthy of all the praise.

On your name and through the nature of Yeshua the Messiah I pray.

The Spiritual Soldier

Does God choose or favor people over others By Minister Speed

Excerpt from my new book "A Declaration to the Spiritual Soldier."

I was sitting in a group discussion and most of the participants were not Christian, believers or disiciples. The discussion turned to those who believe that their concept of god would not choose a person over another, nor does he have the power over life and death, nor good and bad experiences happening to a person. They also went on to say that they chose their god. I'm posting this excerpt from my new book A Declaration to the Spiritual Soldier to show what God has revealed to me about the very subject.

Listen if you know me then you know that I read multiple books at a time. I have never seen such a book before. It is power pack with essential Christian based revelaton knowledge that will answer many of your questions as well as show you insights you may have been lacking. "I equate being chosen to be on God’s team to two amateur football players who want to play for the Oakland Raiders. 

They plan a year ahead of time to attend camp as undrafted players. One of the amateur player talks with former professional who once played for the Raiders and gets inside information concerning training, the playbook, and the attitude of the coach. He parlays this into an excellent opportunity to prepare, working out rigorously, and studying to understand the offensive and defensive strategies of the team. The other amateur while having a desire to play professional football uses his time to hang out at football games watching players, occasionally working out when he thought about it, and not preparing for the mindset necessary to play at the professional level.

When it was time for camp tryouts they both took the trip each with anticipatory nervousness. They were introduce to their prospective coaches and told there would be a one day tryout with a cut the very same day. They both work really hard and gave it their best and at the end of the day went to see the roster and those who had been cut and not chosen. The amateur who had inside information, and had studied the strategies of the team while rigorously working, saw that he had been chosen to stay with the team and play as a professional player. 

The other amateur while having a strong desire saw that he had been cut from the team and not chosen. When he talked to the coach, he asked why he was not chosen and his friend allowed to remain.. The coach replied, “To play at this level you’ve got to show the potential and be prepared as soon as possible. You’ve had some time to prepare but you spent that time not focusing on the things that related to this team. You were attempting to have balance with your lifestyle while you’re friend gave himself and everything he had to make this team.

The moral of this story is many are called but few are chosen. God is looking at your heart, willingness to serve, and gratitude for the opportunity. This is equated to your training, focus, and understanding. Lastly one of the most important thing to remember is seen in the book of John chapter 15:16 where Christ makes the statement, ‘Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen (predetermine) you, and ordain (qualified) you, that you should go forth and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit (harvest) remain.”  

Many times I hear people mistakenly say that they chose God, that they chose their ministry. This is due to the sinful and egoic nature of mankind. If we are to be called it is because of God’s mercy and grace. Afterwards we must answer the calling. If we are to be Chosen we must be humble and have a heart for service to God".

Head Knowledge Verses Heart Knowledge By Minister Speed

When I was a young Christian I remembered a Pastor who thought that getting "Bible doctrine" into our brains was the most important aspect of the Christian life. He lectured on the hidden meanings of "the Greek" and "the Hebrew" and expounded on the finer points of systematic theology, and his students dutifully wrote down every word. Unfortunately, all of that "doctrine" often went from his brain to the congregation's notebooks and then onto their carefully catalogued library shelves to collect dust. 

 Please don't misunderstand me. I think it is vitally important to study the Bible and to understand its teaching or "doctrine." But God didn't write the Bible to fill up our brains; instead He wrote it to transform our lives. When we make Bible study merely an academic exercise, we abort the life-changing impact it should have on our families, our relationships, our careers, our ministry and our involvement in the community. 

 That's why James warns us, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says" (James 1:22). 






When we sit week after week listening to sermons, reading Christian books and attending seminars, we can deceive ourselves into thinking that we are growing in Christ merely by being exposed to Scripture. In fact, we may be like a bad photograph-- overexposed and underdeveloped! You can diligently avoid the first six "deadly sins" of Bible study and still have merely head knowledge rather than a heart knowledge of God's Word. Biblical teaching must filter down into your life for true growth to occur. 

Ask yourself, "Am I merely filling up my mind, or am I truly applying what I learn?" Your honest answer to that question can have an enormous impact on both your Bible study and your walk with the Lord.

Spiritual Warfare, The Whole Armor of God By Minister Speed

THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

Today I will begin another Presentation of what it means to be spiritually fit for life. I will be using as a guide the Holy Bible with the Key Scripture being Ephesian 6:10-17 (The Armor Of God). 

The purpose of this lesson is to consider and meditate on the Scriptural meaning of each piece of the armor of God, so that we might stand firm in the battles of life. As Christians we SHOULD know that our battles are within ourselves and therefore cannot be won through the physical manifestation.

Many do not full understand that if we are to battle in the Spirit then we must be under the power of the Holy Spirit. This is our power source to connect to all Gods’ promises, and weapons of warfare. Without the power of the Holy Spirit we are powerless and at our best defeated carnal Christians.

THE CARNAL CHRISTIAN OR THE BABE/IMMATURE ONE IN CHRIST

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 describes the carnal Christian as a person who has received Christ but who lives in complete DEFEAT because he is trying to live the Christian life on his own strength. It reads “and I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual (those filled with the Spirit) but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto (as of now) ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are Carnal: for whereas there is among you strife (fighting) envying and division, are ye not carnal and walk as men (meaning the non-believers)”

My brothers and sisters this is not the life that Christ had in mind when He died on Calvary. In John 10:10 and I paraphrase, Christ said “I came that you may have life and live life more to an advantage. You see God in sending His Son, the deliverer Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit has given us all we need to be totally victorious in battle against the enemy and those within his ranks.

Proverbs 20:18 (NIV) reads “make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance.” This tells us that in the case of spiritual warfare we must seek counsel, and in our case we seek our Commander In Chief, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is called the Lord of Lord, and the King of Kings. In Him we have complete victory over anything that comes against us.

Key Lesson Scripture Is: THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD

Eph 6:10-17 (NIV) ...It reads, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I am dedicating this blog presentation to my Christian brothers and sisters who have pressed toward the mark of the higher calling of God through Jesus the Christ.   However many in the Christian religion are unable to grasp the truth concerning the simplistic truth of God. The one truth that many Christians are deluded about is the FACT that;

WE ARE AT WAR!!! Excerpts from “A Declaration To The Spiritual Soldier”

"This is not a war for land, as most wars go. This war is not a battle for money. This war is for spiritual territory (inside yourself) and for the souls of God’s most precious creation (Rev 12:7-9, 12). We read in these verses that there was a war in heaven and the warriors of God fought against Satan and his fallen angels. These verses also tell us how Satan, the deceiver of the whole world, is thrown out of heaven into the earthly realm. 

We see in verse 12, there is rejoicing in heaven due to the outcast of Satan and it goes in to say, “Woe (great sorrow) to those who live in the earthly realm because Satan has lost the war in heaven (to the one who sealed his fate) and he knows his time is up, short. He is very angry and plans on taking his anger out on every creature on earth.

We see the final battle taking place, the war has already been won but the battle is for a completely different reason at this time.

If you were in a war what would be the first question asked of your advisors? I believe this question should be; who am I at war with? We fight against Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12) perhaps one of the most powerful angels. Again in Revelations 12:7, we see that we fight against Satan and his army of fallen angels.

Saints, our enemy fights from realms which we physically can’t enter. We can’t gun him down. We can’t use tanks or a chemical warfare. The Bible states, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against ruler of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” We battle against Satan himself. The next question should be…

How do we defend ourselves against this enemy"? 

During this message, I will present definitive ways in which we as Christians have been given by God to do battle, overcome and be victorious in spiritual warfare. I will be using points to help guide you through this presentation. I define a point as an ADDRESS which will determine the objective of this presentation so that if needed you may grow in effectiveness and understanding in the WORD OF GOD.  (End Of Excerpt)

Why Spiritual Armor?
Rom. 13:12 (NIV) the night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. This scripture tells us that the armor of God is the light that repels the army of darkness. Since ancient day men have use armor for protection in battle against their enemies. From the bamboo chested samurai warrior, to the medieval knight, armor has used to defend the areas of the body that are vital to life.

This same principle applies to the armor of God. Without this armor we are susceptible to vital spiritual injuries and even death!!! The next 7 points will describe the different components which make up the full armor of God.


Point 1  

The Belt of Truth - Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.

Why did the writer begin with the belt and how can a belt be seen as ARMOR? What does it mean for us today on our time? In the days of old men wore long garments with a belt which usually hung from the waist. This prevented them from running as they would probably trip and fall. In order to move quickly they would have to place the belt between their legs and tuck it in the sash. The verses below describe the type of mentality we are supposed to have when we are in battle against our common enemy. The belt of TRUTH is to have a position in which God's TRUTH is holding up your life today. To be prepared to run this race He has set before us without tripping or falling.

Have you ever seen someone SAGGIN their pants in today’s society? Imagine fighting in battle like this and you can get an idea of how important is to have the BELT OF GOD'S TRUTH SURROUNDING YOUR LIFE TODAY. Without God's belt of truth we as Christian would fall prey for every thought or idea in the world today. I leave you with this question:

Exodus 12:11 (NIV) This is how you are to eat it [the Passover lamb]: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand

1 Kings 18:46 (NIV) The POWER of the Lord came upon Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he RAN ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

2 Thess. 2:10 (NIV) ...They perish because they refused to love the TRUTH and so be saved.


 Point 2:

BEASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS

 We continue this  study with the  discussing of the 2nd piece of ARMOR given to US by GOD Himself. This piece is the Breastplate Of Righteousness. Do you recall the story of King Ahab of Israel? A king so UNRIGHTEOUS he killed a man just so he could have his vineyard (1 Kings 21). This king of Israel "who did evil in the sight of the Lord more than all who were before him" (1 Kings 16:30, New Revised Standard Version)?

God had prophesied that Ahab would die in the battle described in 1 Kings 22. So Ahab decided to disguise himself, while his ally King Jehoshaphat of Judah wore his own kingly robes.

Their enemy had ordered his captains, "'Fight with no one small or great, but only with the king of Israel.' When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, 'It is surely the king of Israel.' So they turned to fight against him; and Jehoshaphat cried out. When the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.

"But a certain man drew his bow and unknowingly struck the king of Israel between the scale armor and the breastplate…at evening he died; the blood from the wound had flowed into the bottom of the chariot" (1 Kings 22:31-35, NRSV).

Is it perhaps poetic justice that this unrighteous king lost his life due to an opening in his armor?

What does the breastplate have to with RIGHTEOUSNESS?

The illustration of Ahab shows what will happen if there is a weakness in the BREASTPLATE and so with the Christian who HEART is not COVERED in RIGHTEOUSNESS. The breastplate was a central part of any soldier's armor—it provided protection for the torso, which contains vital organs like the heart, lungs and so on. Without a breastplate, a soldier would be asking for death, as any attack could instantly become fatal. With a sturdy breastplate, the very same attacks become ineffective and useless, as blows glance off the armor. This illustration of the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS also contains a powerful lesson as we as Christians must be covered with the righteousness of God and be obedient to the will and words He has given us.

This righteousness will EMPOWER us to receive His PROMISES and PROTECT us from the fiery darts of the enemy. Listen righteousness is POWER and without this power we will not be victorious in our day to day battles. Without righteousness, we leave ourselves open to almost certain death. With righteousness—just as with a breastplate—the otherwise fatal attacks of our enemy are thwarted.

 Listen whether knowingly or unknowingly you should know WE ARE AT WAR!!! Every Christian has been called to ARMOR UP. The only reason God would tell us to put on ARMOR is because He knew we would be in a war. Satan has a kingdom and Christ has a kingdom.  Listen, whenever two kingdoms oppose each other WAR IS THE RESULT. God knows we battle not in the flesh so He has provided His own ARMOR to provide the ULTIMATE protection and imminent VICTORY.

Exodus 15:3 - The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is his name!

2 Corinthian -  For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

2 Timothy 2: 3-4 --Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Phillipians 3:9 (NRS) ...Not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith.

Isa 59:16-17 (NAS) ...Then His own arm brought salvation to Him, and His righteousness upheld Him. He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head.

Ex 28:15 (NIV) "Fashion a breast piece for making decisions... Make it like the ephod..."

 Point 3
FEET SHOD WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

We will now discuss the 3rd piece of ARMOR and its significance.  Why would God require His soldiers to wear ARMOR and more specifically how important is it to understand the Spiritual Warfare we face as Christians today.    

Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace". What does this mean?

In order to understand the bible you've got to go to the one who wrote the bible.  2 Timothy 3:16 states "All scripture is INSPIRED by God."  Scripture does not contradict scripture as some are led to believe and the bible is the only written word of God, therefore in order to understand what the ARMOR that is necessary for spiritual survival is you MUST turn to the word of God and stop hap hazarding your understanding with what you think God is saying.

In the Word of God, the book of Revelation, Chapter 1 verse 15 there is a description given of the FEET of Jesus our Savior.  It reads “And His feet were like unto fine brass burnt in a furnace; and His voice like the sounds of many waters.   Now to many this description may cause confusion, but to those who feet are shod (this means to be fitted with) then it becomes clear that this mean that the person has A STRONG FOUNDATION IN THE WORD OF GOD.  The description of Jesus in Revelation is now clear because in John 1 verse 1 it states that Jesus IS THE WORD!!! This is why the description of Him is Brass (metal) that has been HARDEN by passing through the FIRE and is very strong.

Listen to what the bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:1- 4 (Weymouth Version)  "But let me recall to you, brethren, the Good News [Gospel] which I brought you, which you accepted, and on which you are STANDING, through which also you are obtaining salvation, if you bear in mind the words in which I proclaimed it, unless indeed your faith has been UNREAL from the very first, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures; that He was buried; that He rose to life again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.  To the newcomer shod your feet with this info. 1st.

My brother and sisters this is the gospel as we have received it. It is foolishness to many, but life and light to those who believe in it and are willing to follow and be "included in" Christ's death (Galatians 2:20). In practice, the Gospel means we are dead to our self-life with all of its lusts and instincts, and alive with new life in Christ. 

The good news is that by considering ourselves "dead men" in Christ, we can be put at peace with God in Christ.  Listen your foundation or that which is the basis of your life must be the above paragraph or we are deluded and it is Satan who deludes.

Listen don't think for a moment that the bible is telling us to become PACIFIST and allow wicked to tempt and toss us at will.  We battle, just not in the flesh, but we speak out against evil, against murders, and APOLOGETICALLY defend this gospel to the end.

The peace mentioned here is the PEACE MANIFESTED when you know WHO CHRIST IS AND WHO YOU BELONG TO.  Do not deceive yourself for a moment to believe that when you accept CHRIST you step into some lily white kid’s tray.  This is where the boys are separate from the men, and the girls from the curls.  This word is offensive to the self, natural man, non believer and while many profess CHRISTIANITY, this word is OFFENSIVE to some of them also (Matthew 7:22).   They take offense but have never READ the word of God if but to glance at it a few moments in their lifetime.

I will call them BARE FEET CHRISTIANS meaning that life is based on what they think God is saying and not what God is actually saying.   This can be illustrated in Matthew 7:20 to 27 and for the sake of illustrating I must quote it all so please bear with me (AS THIS IS TALKING ABOUT CHRISTIANS),  and it states "  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  LET'S GET READY TO SHOE SOME FEET!!!

 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (This is not talking about atheist, agnostic, or non-believers, but Christians).

 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? (I was nice, I tolerated others, I told folk about you)

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  (If He  NEVER you them then how did THEY think they knew Him)?  He was not the Lord of their life.  How can one know the will of God and not READ the LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GOD WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: (You are the house where God lives and the ROCK is Jesus and YOUR FEET must be fitted(shod)with being prepared and understanding His message)

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (Life’s troubling moment)

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  (This is self-teaching, self-will, what I think, sand=earth= flesh=sin=Jesus saying I NEVER KNEW YOU).

 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

 A person whose life is not FOUNDED on the word of God is hostile toward God; and this person has BARE FEET.  In the bible having BARE FEET is  synonymous to Slavery.  


We as Christians must read His Will in His word and prepare because the BATTLE rages, and for some it is UNAWARINGLY!!!!

There is nothing sweeter than the word of God, nothing more powerful and able to RESSURECT THE DEAD and bring Life.

Listen how can you know God's promises if you don't know His word and if the PROMISES are a result of walking in His POWER then how can you access His POWER if you don't know that POWER lies within the knowledge of His word? 

Isaiah 52:6-7 (NIV) "Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I. How beautiful on the mountains are the FEET of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation [Yeshua/Jesus!] who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns

Eph. 6:15 (NIV) ...your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

Eph. 6:15 (Weymouth)  As well as the shoes of the Good News of peace--a firm foundation for your feet.

Romans 10:15 (KJV) ...As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"


Point 4

The Helmet Of Salvation/ Jesus

This 4th point or principle of the lesson titled Spiritual Warfare The Armor Of God is my favorite for several reasons and for that reason I could write a thesis on it which could stretch in a large volume.  This fourth piece of Armor describes The Helmet Of Salvation and is one of the most important because the head controls the body.  You have heard it said “kill the head and the body will follow."  In this case scripture is talking about the piece of Armor which protects your SALVATION.  For us Salvation rest with Jesus the Christ and none other.  In Acts 4:12 it states " Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."  JESUS is SALVATION and SALVATION is the HELMET and the HELMET is the HEAD of the Church of which we are the body. 

Colossians 1:15-20 - Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in Christ all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities—all things were created through Christ and for Christ.

Christ is before all things, and in Christ all things hold together.

Christ is the head of the body, the church; Christ is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead that in everything Christ might be preeminent.    Jesus is the translated name of the Christ but in His original language His name is Yeshua which Hebrew--means "God’s Salvation".  Salvation is Jesus Christ our helmet and protection.  

Many who call themselves Christian do so without the Knowledge of who Christ is.  Salvation belongs to Him and Him alone and He has indicated the dictates of Salvation.  I posed the question asked by million for the past millennium.  What must I do to be Saved?

You must know, that there is a Great Salvation proposed unto the Children of men; and you must Know, and Think, That there is Nothing of So Great Concern for any man, as to obtain a part in that Great Salvation. Indeed KNOWLEDGE is the first Thing, that is necessary in order to Salvation; and it is absolutely necessary, Unspeakable Necessary.

We read Hosea 4:6. My People are Destroyed for the lack of Knowledge.  Knowledge, Knowledge; To get good Knowledge, let that be the First Care of them that would be Saved. Stop attempting SALVATION ON YOUR OWN THINKING.  Knowledge is a Principal thing; my brother and sisters, Get Knowledge; with all thy might, get UNDERSTANDING. Oh! That this Resolution might immediately be made in the minds of all our people; I will get as much Knowledge as ever I can.  The Word of God must be Read and Heard with Diligence that so you may arrive to the Knowledge that is needful for you.  Some of you say but ALL you must do is believe.

Oh ye of little knowledge "the devil believes in God and trembles (James 2:19) As you gain Knowledge, there must be added, Humble and Earnest Supplications before the Lord of Lord Yeshua who is Jesus the Christ, You must cry to God for Knowledge, and lift up your Voice to Him for Understanding; Prefer it before Silver, Before anything of EARTH.  

There may be some so very Ignorant, that they know not how to Pray.  I advise YOU to take the 119th Psalm. They will find in it many a Prayer suited unto their circumstances, Take it, and Use it and particularly those Petitions in it: Beseech God the Father.

Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy Statutes; and Lord, Teach me Good Judgment and Knowledge; and Lord, Give me Understanding, that I may know thy Testimonies: Give me understanding and I shall Live. Take Encouragement from that word; and Plead it before the Lord.   

James 1:5. If any of you lack of Wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men Liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

WHAT BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY TEACHES ABOUT SALVATION

 Now believe you on the Lord Jesus Christ that He was born of a virgin, was crucified by Pontus Pilate, was buried 3 days in the belly of the EARTH.  Resurrected, spent 40 days on Earth testifying and expounding on the scriptures concerning Himself, Ascended unto the throne of God and sits on the Right side of God. 

For in Christ all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Christ all things are reconciled to God, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of Christ's cross.   

Isaiah 59:16-17 (KJV) And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.  For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a Helmet of salvation [Yeshua] upon his head.

1 Thessalonian 5:8 (NAS) but since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love; and as a HELMET, the hope of salvation.

Ps 140:7 (NAS) "O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation [Yeshua], you have covered my HEAD in the day of battle."

Col. 1:18 (NKJ) And He is the HEAD of the body, the church. 

1 Corinthians 2:16 (NIV) "For who has known the MIND of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the MIND of Christ.

Philippians 2:5 (NKJ) let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

1 Pet. 4:1 (NKJ) therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yours elves also with the same mind (HEAD), for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.

Eph. 4:14-16 (NKJ) ...We should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the HEAD Christ--from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.


Before I continue I want to make it clear that I make neither concession nor conciliation with the enemy against the God that I worship. Using biblical truth I will continue to set forth God's ideas, will and principles because He has commanded us to do so.  At the end of the year 2013 I will be creating a compilation of all posted material on this page  using all feedback, comments, and statements so please feel free to comment as you as led.

 Point 5

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

Heb. 4:12-13 (NKJ) for the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Here we see the word of God made comparable to A LIVING SWORD.  This sword has been described as 2 edged meaning it brings changes to the person wielding it, as well as bringing changes to the under attack.  In understanding the word of God we see the above verse in Hebrew also stating that the word of God is able to pierce and able to divide the soul and the spirit.  There are many people with a STRONG spirit but they possess a WEAK soul.  You see God knows the difference between the two and you as a Christian MUST also come to know.  

How many times have you involved yourself with a person you thought were strong but a time passed you realized they were weak and life tossed them to and fro, and they fell prey to every fad and fashion developed by Satan?  This is why we as Christians need the word of God so that we may discern the TRUTH and know what motivates the people coming into our lives.     
    

WHAT IS THE SWORD OF TRUTH? 

It is the Holy Bible, the word of God or Jesus the Christ the one who became flesh and dwells amongst us.  To the Christian armed for defense in battle, the apostle recommends only one weapon of attack; but it is enough, the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. It subdues and destroys evil desires and blasphemous thoughts as they rise within; and answers unbelief and error as they assault from without. 

A single text, well understood, and rightly applied, at once destroys a temptation or an objection, and subdues the most formidable adversary.  You see within or without the 2 edged sword will be the only offense protection needed.

Isaiah 49:2 (NAS) He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.

2 Cor. 6:7 (NIV)  In truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left.

Ps. 149:4-6 (NIV) For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.  May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands.

You see our struggle is not with others, we do not take to the streets in rage at injustice.  Instead we search within.  We do not burn or kill those that do not believe as we do.  We subdue the world through the love of Jesus the Christ.  The word of God is our warfare albeit many are defenseless and create stumbling blocks for others and place themselves in danger of eternal separation.


Point 6:

The Shield of Faith

As I’m writing this commentary of The Armor of God I find myself under physical and emotional attack, at all times.  I know that this is the time to persevere and consciously pick up my shield and serve God.  Whenever Satan makes a move against me I exercise the power God has given me.  I do this through witnessing, prayer and remaining obedient to the WORD of God.  I then receive the promises He has for me.  Listen saints, the flaming arrows of the wicked on cannot pierce the soul of one who has taken up the Shield of Faith.  As stated in the above Points, We are in warfare.  We go Within or we go Without.  The battles rages for the SOUL (Mind, Will, and Emotions) of man to DETOUR, DETAIN, and DEVOUR mankind from his Spiritual destiny which is to come into remembrance of and do God's will.   

The bible says in Hebrews 11:1- "Faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen."    This tells me faith is the instrument which supports our hope.  Faith is the REALITY that makes all things possible.

WHY DO WE NEED FAITH?  

Because we battle against forces we cannot fight in the physically sense we must use the Shield of Faith.  Our God is tangible but not in the flesh.  It says in scripture “God is Spirit and those who worship Him, MUST worship Him in Spirit and Truth."  The SHIELD of faith is design to deflect the disillusion that the enemy is constantly throwing at us.  In Romans 8:28 it states "likewise the Spirit also helps us in our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the spirit itself makes INTERCESSION for us with groaning which cannot be uttered."  I used this as a reference to illustrate the point that when we put on the ARMOR of God we receive protection from on High.  We are divinely assisted.  We are given witty ideas and dreams manifest themselves which cause us to prosper.   This is why the SHIELD OF FAITH is so important because Satan our adversary is seeking who he may destroy.

In some way we all have faith.  It is encapsulated within the soul of EVERY man.  It is a part of our constitution.  In order to start a car one needs faith.  In order to flip the light switch on needs assurance that there will be LIGHT.  Without faith we would reduce to a vegetated stated without the power to evolve.

This holds true for the CHRISTIAN because you see "Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6)."  Without the Shield of Faith it is impossible to evolve into mature Christian and we are reduced to a state of SELF WILL RUN RIOT.  This means “Fighting a spiritual war with physical weapons”.  I have decided consciously to allow the Father to fight for me.  To move me into the direction He would have me.

Father today I pray that you direct my thinking, and that you divorce my thoughts from fear, selfishness, self-pity, and allow me to walk by FAITH and not by sight.  As I put on the shield of faith my God protect me from all hurt, harm, and dangers.  In the mighty and majestic name of Jesus the Messiah!

Eph 6:16 (Wey) ...take the great shield of faith, on which you will be able to quench all the flaming darts of the Wicked one.

Ps. 35:1-3-9 (NIV) Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. Take up shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid. Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to my soul, "I am your salvation."... Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in his salvation [yes, Yeshua again].

Ps. 3:2-3 (GLT) Many are saying of my soul, There is no salvation for him in God. Selah. But You, O Jehovah, are a shield around me; [you are] my glory and He who lifts up my head.

1 Pet. 1:5 (NAS) Who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Ps. 33:20 (NIV) We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.

1 Tim. 6:12 (NIV) Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Pr. 2:7-8 (NIV) He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path.

1 John 5:4-5 (Wey) For every child of God overcomes the world; and the victorious principle which has overcome the world is our faith. Who but the man that believes that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world?

Proverbs 30:5 (NIV) "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him."

As I conclude this study and commentary I would like to say that I have a desire to inform and God has given me the talent to not just extract information but to have an unquenchable thirst to learn and apply this knowledge of God.  This wisdom I give freely to you in the hopes that you do not have to make the same mistakes that many of us have made.

Did you know that there have been 52,008,665 ABORTIONS since Roe vrs. Wade back in 1973? Of those abortions 60% or a little over 31 million of those killed are African American. 

Did you know that the population of African Americans in the USA is 30,000,000?  More babies have been killed than the entire population of blacks in America TODAY!!!

Did you know that in the USA 50% of ALL African American DO not graduate from HIGH SCHOOL? Of the 50% that do graduate 1/2 of them are either illiterate or unable to compete in college.  That’s 50% OF THE 50 %.

Did you know that African American make up only 13.5 % of the USA population? However of all the total prisons in America we make up 76% of the prison population with the males making up 67%.

Did you know that Infant Mortality amongst African American Newborn Babies is the 3rd highest in the entire world? Even amongst Unindustrialized nations. 

Did you know that 80% of all African American households have only one parent? The Female.

Did you know that 500,000 African Americans die each year from Diabetics a preventable dis ease?

Did you know that in the world of the African American there are 1, 000,000 more females than there males?

Did you know that African American are less likely to marry and more prone to divorce with 75% of all marriages ending in Divorce?

Did you know that African American men have the highest Alcohol mortality rate than any other race in America, even while their alcohol use is more moderate than any other race in America?

Did you know that While African Americans comprise 13.5% of the U.S. Population, 43% of all murder victims in 2007 were African American, 93.1% of whom were killed by African Americans.

Did you know that black children represent a larger percentage of the foster care population than they do of the general population of black children in the USA?

Did you know that in the black Slave Holocaust it is estimated that 100,000,000 million African were killed in the Middle Passage alone? This does not include all the killings in the system of slavery in America, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, England, South Africa, and "every" country on this planet. The numbers are numerically impossible to calculate.

I wrote this because while my people have made great strides, these numbers shed a light on the genocidal extermination of a people. The sad truth is most African Americans are not aware of these issues themselves. 

The Solution:
Did you know?

God is not like man, meaning He is not unstable and double minded in what He has said or what He does.  For God would rather that we be hot or cold, but a lukewarm person.  He will vomit you out of His mouth if you are not hot for Him. (Rev. 3:16 NAS)  God’s word is not going to change to fit my lifestyle or yours.

In the book of Ezekiel, God told him to eat the scroll, which is the Word of God, and to go to the house of Israel and speak His word.  (Ezekiel 3 KJV). People, I am pleading with you this day to open up your spiritual eyes and to take on the mind of Christ, and to live according to the Holy written word of God.  If you say you love the Lord God with all of your heart, mind and spirit, get to know Him through the reading and understanding of His word, and abide in His precious Holy word daily.  Hide the word in your heart that you won’t sin against Him, (Ps. 119:11)  

Did you know that God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Don’t allow Satan to deceive you any longer, don’t wait until it’s too late.  Get your life in order while it is still day, because the night is soon coming when no man will be able to work.  WAKE UP People, PLEASE WAKE UP!
